Studio on the Corner is a one woman show owned and run by me...Teresa O.  I'm Mom to two and Mimi to one.  Two crazy creatures share my space, a black & white cat and an adorable mini poodle, Winston. I've been blogging since 2007 and during that time taught myself HTML, how to tweak blogs from the back end, how to create my own elements, and I've learned photography is a wonderful thing.  I am a creator...someone who loves to create things whether it's a flower arrangement, a garden, a story, cards for family & friends, tea for a friend, or a digital frame. Getting lost in my passions brought me to this point.

About the Kits
Kits designed by me, here at Studio on the Corner, are digital but created in Photoshop Elements formatted with a 300 dpi making them printable for die-hard paper scrappers.  Each kit tells a story that you continue by interweaving your photos and memories with the papers and embellishments added in your own artful way.  I strive to create high-quality, imaginative kits that include papers, embellishments of all kinds, and often quotes and journaling bits.

My Inspiration
The inspiration for the digital kits comes from the past. Creating an entire kit inspired by an event, a person, literature. or just the simple things that become well-loved satisfies the history buff in me.  Because my focus is historical, vintage, or retro digital kits, I often use images in the public domain and scan old ephemera including books, letters, post cards, greeting cards, photos, old labels, advertising, newspapers, and prints.  I'm a huge fan of the Regency era magazine, Ackermann's Repository for the Arts printed from 1809 to 1828.

There are some wonderful creative people out there who are gracious indeed. Three that I often return to are:
The Graphics Fairy
Shadowhouse Creations
Obsidian Dawn
It truly pays to check out their websites and view what they have to offer because it's simply grand.

Kit Uses
Use the kits for more than just scrapbooks.  Create blog & website elements like headers, backgrounds, & side bar graphics.  Printed kits can become cards, cupcake toppers, name cards, labels, hang tags, or just about anything you put your creative mind to.

Is There Something I can Do for You?
Is there something you've always wanted to use in your projects, but just can't find?  Give me a shout and if we put our heads together I'll bet we can come up with just what you need.  I'm totally open to custom requests.

Beyond scrapping, I'm open to designing blogs using my kits and/or photography.  Let me know what you want and we'll talk it over.
